Lablabi
Lablabi is a soup of chickpeas and pieces of dried bread flavored with cumin and harissa. In Tunisia, it is often eaten for breakfast as well as lunch or dinner.

2 cups canned Chick peas or 1 cup prepared dried chickpeas
2 cup vegetable or chicken broth
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons cumin
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 eggs (optional)
1 1/2 cups any type of French or African bread, cut into small cubes
1. In a pot, combine chick peas, broth, garlic, olive oil, cumin, harissa, and lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
2. Cook ten to twenty minutes. If using eggs, crack them into the hot soup and cook another ten minutes or so.
3. Add bread crumbs and serve.
